This Privacy Policy explains how Me And My Motorhome ('MAMM', 'we', 'us', or 'our') collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our application and related services (collectively, the 'Services').

We are committed to handling your data transparently and lawfully. By registering for or using MAMM, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

If you have any questions, concerns, or requests, please contact us at [email protected].

1. Who We Are and How to Contact Us

MAMM ('Me And My Motorhome') is the data controller responsible for your personal data. This means we determine the purposes and means by which your data is processed.

Email: [email protected]

Website: www.mamm.app

If you are a UK resident and wish to exercise your data rights or raise a complaint, you may also contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

2. The Legal Framework

We are primarily governed by the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), as implemented by the Data Protection Act 2018 and amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025. As our user base expands internationally, we also aim to meet the standards of the EU GDPR where applicable.

Where we process your data, we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases under Article 6 of the UK GDPR:

  • Performance of a Contract - processing is necessary to provide the Services you have signed up for, such as managing your account, storing your vehicle data, and enabling community features.
  • Legitimate Interests - processing is reasonably necessary for our business operations, such as analysing usage patterns to improve the app, provided this does not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.
  • Consent - where we rely on your explicit permission, for example for marketing emails, non-essential cookies, or device tracking. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal Obligation - where we are required to process your data to comply with a legal duty.
  • We identify and document the lawful basis for each category of processing. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we carry out a balancing test to ensure your rights and interests are adequately protected.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share your information only in the following circumstances.

    6.1 Service Providers (Data Processors)

We engage reputable third-party providers to help us operate our Services. These providers act as data processors on our behalf and are contractually bound to process your data only on our instructions and in accordance with applicable data protection law. Our current processors include:

Certain information you choose to share within MAMM is visible to other users of the platform. This includes your public profile name, reviews and ratings, community posts, and any content you post in public areas of the app. Please exercise care when sharing personal information in community spaces.

Direct messages you send to other users are private between the parties involved. MAMM does not read or monitor private messages except where required to investigate a report of abuse or where compelled to do so by law.

    6.3 Legal and Regulatory Disclosures

We may disclose your personal data to law enforcement, regulatory authorities, or other third parties where required to do so by law, or where we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to: comply with a legal obligation; protect the safety, rights, or property of MAMM, our users, or the public; or detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.

    6.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your personal data may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you by email and/or a prominent notice within the Services prior to any such transfer and advise you of any choices you may have regarding your data.

    7. International Data Transfers

MAMM is primarily based in the United Kingdom. If you access our Services from outside the UK, or if we use service providers whose infrastructure is located in other countries, your data may be transferred internationally.

Where we transfer personal data outside the UK to countries not subject to an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards including:

  • International Data Transfer Agreements (IDTAs) approved by the UK Secretary of State

  • You may request details of the specific safeguards in place for any international transfer by contacting us at [email protected].

  • Monitoring and logging of system access
  • Please note that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we take every reasonable precaution, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for notifying us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

In the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the ICO within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, and will notify affected users without undue delay where required by law.
